PENRYN MEMORY CAFE

We regularly deliver sessions for the Penryn Memory Cafe which supports people and their families who are living with memory loss and dementia. Since 2020, we have run a range of sessions as well as longer projects.

Mesh, Loop & Line was an Arts Council England and FEAST funded project where members designed and applied their own patterns to ceramic mugs with Katie Bunnell, Jessie Higginson and Ismini Samanidou.

The Memory Cafe also got involved with our Jubilee Plates project, with ten of the members designing a plate. The stories they depicted included moving to Cornwall in a caravan, playing rugby for Penryn, building grandfather clocks, ‘playing’ on the Penryn viaduct and even going to school in the 1950’s in the building where we ran the workshops!
